TEXT: James 2:21-24; 2 John 1:6

INTRO: At the very core of active faith is the fundamental principle of obedience. We know that true faith produces good works, and that faith without works is dead. But these works cannot be what we think are the best things to do. True faith requires a radical and costly obedience to the perfect will of God. In James 2, we find the example of Abraham and Isaac as a proof that works accompany faith and that obedience to God is required for active living faith.
