TEXT: Genesis 13:1-4
INTRO: In Gen.12, Abram departed from Canaan—during a time of famine and journeyed to Egypt. Scripture notes that to reach Egypt, Abram had to go “down”. Anytime a believer wanders away from the place of God’s calling, they begin a descent. Abram’s detour to Egypt was a failure - but failure does not have to be final in the life of faith. Our text tells us that Abram "went up out of Egypt."
