God Builds A King

Text:  1 Samuel 16:14-19
Intro:  (Rev.1:4-8)At one point in his life, King Saul had been used by the Lord to accomplish great things.  Yet, these verses find the king living in desperate days. Because of Saul’s rebellion, God removed His Spirit from the king and allowed an evil spirit to torment him. David had already been anointed to be the next king of Israel; Saul was allowed to occupy the throne until David was fully prepared for the throne.
God used four very special tools to prepare David for his role as king. In many ways it is the same tools God uses when He seeks to train us, to be, His servant Followers. Now observe the tools as He seeks to build a king.
