Sermon Notes

Text: Acts 13:22, 1 Samuel 16:1-3 (NKJV)
Intro: When God looks for someone that He can use for a certain purpose… what does He look for? God looks for something that Mankind does not always think to look at. Mankind looks at the outward, but God always looks at the heart. Three thousand years ago, God chose a young man named David to be the king of Israel. Out of all the sons of Jesse, the favor of God landed on a lad named David. David was the youngest son of a poor farmer from the tiny village of Bethlehem. David was a young man who was not even respected by the members of his own family. He was a nobody living in a family of nobodies.
