Jeremiah 18:1-6

TEXT:  Jeremiah 18:1-6

INTRO:
The journey to becoming who God wants us to be is rarely easy.  When we consider Jeremiah 18 and the warning for Israel, we find truth and application for our lives today.  When we fail to surrender to the Lord, disaster is around the corner.  Not simply because there is punishment for sin, but because God wants the best for us and surrender to His will keeps us from destruction that would otherwise be the natural outcome of our actions.  The good news is that even when we fail, God has a long arm of grace.  When we repent from sin, He relents from the punishment intended for us and restores a right relationship with Him.  Our failure to follow God’s perfect plan does not immediately disqualify us from His Kingdom!  Instead, if we surrender and allow the Holy Spirit to do His work in us, then we are remade into another useful and beautiful vessel for the Lord.
